But when the tornado sirens blared, our plans took an unexpected turn. Instead of seeking shelter in a mundane location, we were led into an underground speakeasy, a hidden gem my daughter and I wanted to explore but the timing never worked out.

Age can often feel like a limit imposed by society, a marker that supposedly dictates what can or cannot be done. Each phase of life offers unique insights and experiences that can fuel your transformation in powerful ways.

The last time I witnessed the Northern Lights was during a memorable trip to Iceland. For seven nights, my friends and I chased the elusive lights, and it wasn’t until the final night that we were rewarded with a breathtaking show. I thought that might be my last dance with the auroras, yet here they were again, unexpectedly gracing my view.

From her earliest days, I aimed to strike a delicate balance as a parent, providing enough guidance to keep her safe while granting her the freedom to explore life's joys. Like many mother-daughter duos, we had our share of tumultuous times. There were moments she felt constrained, comparing her freedoms to those of her friends, while I stood firm, governed by a fierce desire to protect and nurture.

Motherhood is a journey that reshapes the heart, soul, and the very essence of our being. Recently, as I watched my grand-daughter for five days and nights, I was whisked back to the days when I was a young mother, navigating the hectic yet fulfilling waters of parenting.

February, with Valentine's Day at its heart, is often draped in the language of love shared with others. Yet, it's a poignant reminder that to pour out love abundantly, we must first fill our own cup.

As the winter wind whispers through the trees and the world dons its snowy blanket, there’s something about the crisp, cold air that beckons the outdoors, inviting us to relive the joyous, unbridled fun of the past. Recently, a simple family gathering turned into an evening brimming with laughter, playful competition, and the kind of pure joy that you typically only see in children. It was a reminder that sometimes, all it takes to reconnect with our youthful spirit is a snowy hill, sleds, a snowboard, and the company of loved ones.

During the session I led the group through a powerful visualization exercise, and encouraged each participant to step into the shoes of the clients, feeling their struggles, aspirations, and experiences. This exercise wasn't just about understanding their needs but about connecting with their humanity on a deeper level. As Henry David Thoreau eloquently put it, “Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other’s eyes for an instant?”
