A score of 1 out of 5 on the relevance of material stood glaring back at me (1 being the worst and 5 being the best). For a moment, it felt as though all the positive energy had been sucked out of my heart. Shocked and momentarily disheartened, I found myself questioning everything.

As the month of love blossoms around us, with its heart-shaped confections and red roses, let's not forget the most profound love affair we can ever embark on; the one with ourselves. February, with Valentine's Day at its heart, is often draped in the language of love shared with others. Yet, it's a poignant reminder that to pour out love abundantly, we must first fill our own cup.

During the session I led the group through a powerful visualization exercise, and encouraged each participant to step into the shoes of the clients, feeling their struggles, aspirations, and experiences. This exercise wasn't just about understanding their needs but about connecting with their humanity on a deeper level. As Henry David Thoreau eloquently put it, “Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other’s eyes for an instant?”

And so, I chose to share an often overlooked but deeply vital treasure: the importance of making time to play, a concept we, as adults, often neglect like an unread book gathering dust on a shelf.

As the poet Mary Oliver wrote, "What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?" Together, in these sacred spaces, we had found an answer: To explore, to connect, to transform, and above all, to love, beginning with ourselves.

It is finally happening. The universe, in its divine wisdom, has cleared a path for us. We are coming together again, for another pilgrimage of the spirit. The location may differ, but the soul of the journey, the promise of further transformation, remains the same.

Life's moments of overcast skies can sometimes overshadow our inner sun. We question, we doubt, and we even fear. But beneath these temporary clouds, our inner strength, our unyielding belief, continues to shimmer, reminding us that a new day, a new beginning, is always on the horizon.
