Think It, Feel It, Become It
Have you ever noticed that when you dwell on the negative, more negativity seems to follow? Or when you focus on gratitude, suddenly blessings seem to appear all around you? That’s no coincidence. The energy we put out into the world has a powerful way of shaping our experiences.
The phrase “Where your attention goes, energy flows” (Tony Robbins) is more than just a catchy saying, it’s a reminder that what we focus on expands. If we fixate on stress, chaos, and self-doubt, we feed that energy and create more of the same. But if we choose to direct our thoughts toward gratitude, joy, and abundance, we attract more of that into our lives.
So, how can we be more intentional with our energy and ensure we’re focusing on what truly matters? Let’s dive in.
Pay attention to what occupies your mind daily. Are you constantly thinking about what’s missing, what’s wrong, or what you fear? Or are you focusing on growth, possibilities, and solutions? Our thoughts shape our reality, so if we’re always dwelling on what’s negative, it’s no surprise that our energy feels drained. For one day, keep a journal of your thoughts. Every time you catch yourself in a negative loop, write it down. Awareness is the first step to shifting your focus.
Choosing to focus on the good doesn’t mean ignoring challenges or pretending life is perfect, but it does mean consciously looking for the positive. When we train our minds to seek out joy, even in the smallest things, we begin to attract more of it. Start each morning with a gratitude practice. List three things you appreciate before you even get out of bed. This simple act can set a positive tone for your entire day.
Certain activities, habits, and even people can drain our energy. Constantly scrolling through social media, engaging in gossip, or surrounding yourself with negativity can take a toll on your mindset. Recognizing what brings you down allows you to set boundaries and redirect your attention toward what lifts you up.
Do an energy audit. Identify one habit or relationship that’s draining you and take small steps to minimize its impact. Maybe it’s limiting social media time or spending less energy on relationships that don’t serve you.
Focusing your energy isn’t just about thinking positive thoughts, it’s about aligning your actions with your desires. Dreaming of a new job? Start networking. Want to improve your health? Make one small healthy choice today. Energy follows action, so every step forward matters.
Pick one goal or dream you’ve been thinking about and take one small step toward it today. No matter how small, action breeds momentum.
Often, we get so caught up in trying to control every detail of our lives that we forget to trust. When we place our attention on fear, we create resistance. But when we shift our focus to faith, faith in ourselves, in the timing of our journey, and in the universe, things start to flow more effortlessly. When you feel yourself slipping into fear or worry, take a deep breath and remind yourself: I am exactly where I need to be. Let that belief guide you.
Every day, we make countless choices about where to place our attention. The more intentional we become, the more we can create a life that feels aligned, fulfilling, and joyful.
If your attention grows where your energy flows, will you think it, feel it, become it? I challenge you to direct your energy towards joy, goodness, possibilities, and abundance.
