Joy
Can you believe another year has come and gone? It’s hard to comprehend we’re already into 2019. With each shiny new year, many set their intentions and make resolutions. For the last several years, I’ve chosen a word that would guide my actions for the upcoming twelve months and this year was no different.
My word came really easy and super early this time. Usually, I’m already into the new year before I know my word, however, this year’s word was on my heart two weeks before it began. I actually fought it for a few days, thinking it couldn’t be that easy. I wasn’t even thinking about it and it kept showing up and…..POOF, just like that, there it was, time and time again; nudging me. Every time I would say it out loud, it brought a lightness; it just felt right. I kept seeing the word everywhere and there was no denying that would be my word for 2019. I even made up a jingle….HAHA.
I’ll use my word to focus on what’s important and how it can help me plan my days, weeks, months and year. What will you do with your twelve new chapters and 365 new chances? It’s your opportunity to grow and experience all that you desire. Put your goals, intentions or words into action and use the law of attraction to see what goodness you can bring into your life. Don’t let worries, should of and could haves creep in. Wake up each morning or go to bed each night in gratitude for your day. There’s always something to be grateful for; even in difficulties.
If you decide to make resolutions, goals, pick a word for the year or nothing at all, remember this, stay present, be grateful, enjoy the moments that bring you joy and do things that stretch and challenge you to be better than yesterday. You’re not in competition with anyone other than yourself. Be kind, generous, forgiving, loving, grateful, positive and believe everything will fall into place. Learn from any challenges, they are put in our path for goodness; be grateful for them. If you haven’t guessed it, my word for the year is……joy. I’ll let it be my guide. What will yours be?

PS….You’ll start to notice your word everywhere. Oh, how that makes me smile; it’s the Universe’s way of reinforcement and confirmation.
