Inner Wisdom
Inner wisdom, also known as intuition is something we all possess. It knows our truth, authentic self and heart. We had no trouble following our inner wisdom as children; it was natural, easy and felt good, but as adults we think too logically and somehow manage to creep out of our heart space and into our head. Letting the head take over will wreak havoc on our mind, body and spirit.
The head space is the ego, and is cloaked in fear, anger, chaos, the past, the future, pride; the list goes on. It keeps a hold on us and tells us lies about ourself and causes fear and self-doubt to take over; ultimately keeping us stuck from moving forward and holding us in the past of should have and could haves.
Lately, I’ve been working on developing my intuition skills, and listening to what I need. I’ve been consciously getting out of my head space and opening my heart. The heart is connected to our higher self, knows exactly what our soul desires, it’s drama-free and is seated in love. Along with love, it baths us in joy, forgiveness, being present, humility, peace, acceptance and understanding. The heart is where our intuition resides and if you listen, it’s the little voice that guides us.
Sometimes our inner guidance speaks to us in a soft whisper while other times it practically bops us over the head, desperately trying to get our attention. If you haven’t been hearing any messages from your heart, it’s most likely you’ve been ignoring it again and again. The good news, it will always return when we decide to listen, all while being patient and faithful.
It’s time to reconnect with your heart again. Commit to rediscovering who you truly are and what you are meant to do. Each time you listen to your intuition, acknowledge and respect it and do what it’s asking. It will always be truthful, stay curious, open and wise like the owl…..inner wisdom will come.
