Ask and It is Given

“The most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible.” – Albert Einstein Although there are different answers to the number of Universal Laws, I found many articles stating there are 12 main Universal Laws to life: vibration, attraction, divine oneness, compensation, polarity, correspondence, inspired action, cause and effect, relativity, gender, perpetual transmutation of energy and the law of rhythm. Knowing and aligning with the laws can help you understand why things are the way they are.

The one most people are probably familiar with is the Law of Attraction. This law is used for manifesting. The law states you basically attract what you focus on. Whatever I believe will manifest in my life. I have found this to be true in my best and worst moments.

I’m part of a book club and our current reading selection is, Ask and It is Given, written by Esther and Jerry Hicks. The book claims the Law of Attraction is the most powerful law in the Universe. The theory is humans are constantly sending messages to the universe that can affect all areas of life, including relationships, finances and health. If you think positive thoughts, you’ll attract positive outcomes, and if you think negative thoughts, you’ll attract negativity into your life.

Think of a recent bad day you’ve had. It seemed as if everything snowballed out of control. You were late for work, spilled your coffee, hit every red light, got into an argument with a colleague or loved one, and had a meeting added to your already busy day. Sound familiar? Now, think of a recent good day. You woke up in a good mood, you were more patient with your family, you magically hit all the green traffic lights, someone let you go in front of them, and you had an easy day at work. I would bet the difference between those two days hinged on your attitude.

Within the chapters of the book, the authors suggest several processes that can help in various life situations. For this post I’ll focus on their Process #1: The Rampage of Appreciation. Even though using this process will be of most value to those experiencing joy, love, freedom, appreciation and optimism, it can help lift your spirits if you’re feeling a lower vibration and should automatically raise it.

You begin the Rampage of Appreciation by looking at your current surroundings and finding something that makes you happy or brings you joy. Consider all the good things about this situation or moment (i.e. the sun is shining, which makes me feel more energized, is warm on my skin, and makes traffic easier when the weather is good). Or it could be everything you love about a delicious cup of coffee or a warm shower. Think of all the positive things you like about any situation or thing. Each and every good thought raises your vibration, creating more good thoughts, feelings, or outcomes in the day. Keep practicing and the easier it becomes to appreciate all the littles and bigs that bring joy.

I encourage you to read the book, Ask and It is Given. It is teaching people how to manifest their desires and accomplish their goals. Perhaps start practicing the Rampage of Appreciation and watch what happens. Then keep trying the other processes they teach. There is sure to be a process you connect with and will meet you where you are. Joy begets joy.
