Law of Attraction
I’m starting this week’s blog post at the end of my story. About a month ago, as I was leaving my hair salon, I discovered a little blessing tucked in between my car window and door. It was a card that read, “Each thought is an investment that pays immediate dividends, so invest wisely. You have the power to choose your thoughts and align them with love, peace and harmony.” As soon as I saw the card, I broke out into the biggest smile, and I’m pretty sure I was talking in my out-loud voice with per glee. That act of kindness made my entire week. Even though it was a small gesture, it made a huge impact.
Now, let me go back and start from the beginning of my story which began about three weeks earlier. I had been experiencing what I would describe as a “sweet spot” in life. I encountered blessing after blessing; almost to the point I could hardly believe. Before I go on, I need to explain that everything didn’t go perfect, but in my mind it was part of the goodness coming at me left and right.
To give you an example, as I was driving to work one morning, my low-tire pressure light came on; which always freaks me out as it was early and still dark. I knew what my tire pressure should be, so I decided to monitor it as I continued to drive. Since it wasn’t declining fast, I decided to continue driving to work since there was a tire repair place right next door. I was able to take it during lunch and soon learned there was a screw in my tire and it was a good thing I had made an appointment. My car was all good to go within an hour and I felt like a million bucks.
What made this a blessing was that it happened the week prior to my son’s wedding. Can you imagine my delight had it been on my way out of town or the day of the wedding? That’s what I call a blessing in disguise. As the days went on, more wonderful things kept happening. The only common denominator I could come up with was…..wait for it……my gratitude. Yep, you heard it right, I was grateful for everything and everyone around me.
I felt thankful all day long and found the good in everything, including a deflating tire. I was in the state of flow. I gave thanks out loud to myself throughout the day and I couldn’t believe how the next little gem unfolded. They call this the law of attraction. Attracting into our lives whatever we are focusing on and I want IN! If I can continue to have these kind of days I need to pay attention to all the unexpected blessings and show gratitude for each one. Hop aboard the gratitude train and see how much goodness we can attract?

PS….I discovered the angel that planted the blessing and I’m grateful for her friendship.
