Are You Willing
Lately, have you been feeling stuck, bored or even frustrated over your current state? It may not be that you’re completely unhappy with your life, but rather you suspect there is more. There is more to uncover, more to discover, more to learn, experience, or do. Staying in the comfort zone of doing nothing often seems like the better path. Fear not, sometimes the smallest shifts can create significant changes and opportunities. Especially if you are willing to take a chance, reshape your thoughts, and keep yourself open to possibility.
We often get stuck in our old patterns even when we know the current situations aren’t really working, but we keep doing the same things over and over. Which closes ourselves off from new ideas, possibilities, and ways of thinking or doing. However, if we can open up to possibility, we can create opportunities for new, different and often better.
Do you remember how it felt as a child when you experienced something you wished for? Seeing holiday lights, the first snow of the season or a playdate with your best friend? They all had the same thing in common: wonder, magic and possibility. Your heart was full with excitement, anticipation, and you were ready to welcome all the wonderful things that could happen. Then you naturally let them unfold.
Are you willing to open yourself up to explore what could be waiting for you? Listed below are a few ways to attract opportunity:
Say yes more often - trust your gut if the answer is yes
Have courage to make a change - feeling fear is normal
Try new adventures - pick something you always wanted to do
Learn something new - what lights you up at the thought of knowing
Make new connections - you never know what or who it may lead to
Keep moving in your desired direction - baby step your way forward
The best part about being open to possibilities is they are simply an opportunity we may choose to take or not, but by being open gives us greater knowledge, vision, and more options. It’s our decision to stay where we are, or take a new path. Remember to use your child-like curiosity and imagination to see opportunities from a different lens. Are you willing to look beyond perception and expectation to see the possibilities of your life? I know I am.

PS … Before you jump into anything, honor where you’re at and let that be your baseline. Once you’ve acknowledged your starting point, create a bridge to take yourself to the next better feeling place even if it’s neutral. Be gentle, kind and open to yourself when trying something new. If you find you don’t like the experience, stop. Reevaluate and either revamp or move on.
