Tag Teaming
I love the quote by John Heywood, “Many hands make light work.” and lately, it’s been on my mind a great deal. With a loved one having a few unforeseen issues, there always seems like something needs attention. I’ll be the first to admit, I’m very lucky to have a close-knit family that works together when needed.
We seem to rally around the cause and somehow make it work. I’m not saying it’s always easy, but I’m saying we try and figure it out. For instance, this past weekend with one brother out of town, the other brother and I tag teamed to do a little lawn mowing, while my sister-in-laws took turns running errands, doing laundry and gathering much needed information. All done with a happy heart.
My out-of-town sister, always comes in whenever needed as well; which makes our lives easier while she’s home. If one person had to handle everything, it would be much more difficult. I thank my lucky stars I have family that cares as much as I do. We all have the same end goal, even though our paths may look a bit different.
We each have different strengths and gifts to offer one another, and I’m grateful for each one. Over the past five to six months we’ve learned to depend on and appreciate one another; which I believe has made us even closer. At times, we may be stressed, exhausted, and just plain need more sleep, but none of us would have it any other way…..well, maybe a little less stress….HA! My tag teaming crew makes my heart smile, and I feel there’s nothing we couldn’t accomplish together.
GO TEAM!
