Little Drops of Legacy

There are moments in life that arrive quietly… and then ripple far beyond what we could have ever imagined. I was reminded of one of those moments recently when a message popped up on my phone. It was from a dear friend, someone I had met along my own transformational journey. Life had taken us in different directions over the past several months, as it often does. Busy schedules. Changing seasons. Less frequent check-ins. But still, that thread of connection remained.

She sent me a picture. It was of a trifold framed piece, something simple, yet instantly familiar. My heart paused for a moment as I realized what I was looking at. It was from a project I had poured my heart into years ago… something I hadn’t thought about in quite some time.

Back in 2020, during a season when the world felt uncertain and heavy, two fellow coaches and I came together with an idea. It began at a spiritual retreat in February. The kind of space where conversations run deeper, ideas feel expansive, and inspiration flows with ease. Before the weekend was even over, we had mapped out what would become a beautiful creative offering,  something we felt deeply called to bring into the world.

We had spent the previous years hosting workshops and retreats, building a community of women who were craving connection, growth, and something more meaningful. But this time, we wanted to do something different.

Something that could reach them right where they were. And as it turned out, where they were… was home.

We created a quarterly subscription box called Bring Joy to Your Door. Each box carried a theme: I Am Enough, Gratitude, Wish, Bloom, and Shine, words that held intention, healing, and possibility. Inside, we carefully selected gifts, activities, and inspiration that aligned with each theme. And as something extra special, we offered a masterclass to go along with it, an opportunity to go deeper, to reflect, and to connect.

At the time, we didn’t fully realize just how needed it would be. But as the world slowed down and people found themselves isolated, searching for connection and light, these boxes became something more than just a delivery.

They became a reminder. A reminder that you are not alone. A reminder to pause, and a reminder to care for yourself in a way that feels intentional and loving. What made it even more meaningful was the sisterhood behind it.

The women in our community showed up with open hearts, sharing their dreams, their struggles, their hopes for something more. They were ready to grow, to heal, to reconnect with themselves and each other. And in that shared space, something beautiful unfolded.

We were creating something together, not just boxes, but connection. Not just inspiration, but belonging. And now, years later, here was that framed piece in my friend’s photo.

My friend shared that on one of the inspirational gifts, the original frame had broken, but instead of discarding it, she replaced the frame and kept the piece. She wanted it to stay part of her space and part of her life.

That simple act touched me more than I can fully express. Because it reminded me of something we so easily forget… we don’t always get to see the impact of what we create.

We don’t always know how something we said, shared, or offered continues to live on in someone else’s life. How it might have comforted them on a hard day, inspired them to keep going, or simply reminded them of who they are. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

There are moments when we plant seeds without ever seeing the bloom. And then there are moments like this, when someone gently shows us that something we created is still growing, still meaningful, and still alive in their world.

That message felt like a gift. A quiet, beautiful reminder that what we do matters even when time passes, even when life shifts, even when we’re no longer actively tending to it.

Because the truth is, we are always leaving something behind. Through our words, our actions, and through the love we share.

So here’s my gentle invitation to you: keep creating, keep sharing and keep showing up with your heart. Even when you’re not sure who it’s reaching. Even when you don’t see the results right away. Because somewhere, in ways you may never fully know, your presence is making a difference.

And every now and then, life will offer you a glimpse, a photo, a message, or a memory to remind you. That what you’ve created still matters. That it’s still touching lives. That it’s still living on. And those moments? They are the most beautiful reminders of the quiet, meaningful impact we leave behind…  our own little drops of legacy.
